Prairie, 1st time under saddle, May '08 (3 years old )

The photos of Prairie, were taken in May 07, at PNWFTC show, in Moses Lake, WA. Prairie won the In-Hand trail class, as well as going on to win both the Jr. Grand Championship, as well as Grand Champion ALL AGES, against mature mares, stallions and geldings. She was just a two year old.
Prairie has been a joy since she was first born. She is Very sweet natured, and has an easy mellow way about her. She loves to take care of the newly weaned babies for us, showing she will be a great mother down the road.
We are now starting her under saddle as a three year old and plan to introduce her to the mountain trails. She is SOOOO agreeable and ready to go on, that she will be on the trails VERY soon. This is what we breed for!!!
We have bred her to our stallion, Davy Crockett. Watch for her foal in March 09, this should be a great cross. In the meantime she will be racking up some trail experience. She seems to be really be happy about doing something. Very relaxed and easy. On her 2nd ride (after only 10 minutes) I rode out of the round pen, she was perfect.
